Where is the camp?

The majority of Nature camp will take place at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, located 30 km from downtown Whitehorse. Nature Camps may also include field trips to local attractions (as they pertain to the Camp Theme).

The bulk of Nature Camp will be conducted outdoors. Nature Camps are based out of a dedicated 1600 sq. foot learning centre at the heart of the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. This space is great for inclement weather.

How will the transportation work?

We provide daily transportation to and from town with the YWP’s 15 passenger van. YWP staff make daily pick-ups and drop-offs at Whitehorse Elementary School.

Our staff will be at the pick-up location from 8:30am to 8:45am to pick-up your child. The bus will depart at 8:45am sharp.

Our staff will return to Whitehorse Elementary School at 3:45pm and you must pick up your child by 4:00pm. Late pick-up fees may apply.

What is the cost?

Cost for Yukon Wildlife Preserve members is $250 a week. Note: the child must appear on the membership. To receive your member discount, you will need a promotional coupon code. This code will be emailed out to all members who opted to receive email communication. If you did not receive a code, please call Beth at 867-456-7400.

Cost for non-members is $275 a week. Note: you will have an opportunity to purchase a membership or renew a lapsed membership during the checkout process. Memberships provide 1 year of unlimited access during open hours. Not only is it a great deal, it’s a great way to save when signing up for 2 or more camps (Information regarding summer 2017 nature camps will be available soon!).

Our prices include GST and transportation to and from downtown Whitehorse

What should my child bring?

  • Winter Boots;
  • Spare Socks & Extra Layers;
  • Packed lunch & snacks;
