Personal Photography
We welcome all our guests to take photos or videos on your phone or camera for personal use. Our VIP Photography Tours are a great way for serious amateurs to get behind-the-scenes access and capture spectacular personal photos – without needing to provide liability insurance.
If you wish to sell or use your photos / video for commercial purposes, you must be permitted under the Yukon Wildlife Preserve’s Commercial Film and Photography program.
Personal Drones
Use of drones at the YWP is strictly prohibited for the general public.
Flying a drone or any UAV is possible under our Commerical Film and Photography program, but has special requirements, including insurance requirements and compliance with Transport Canada legal requirements. This must be booked in advance.
Photography Workshops
We work regularly with photographers like Kevin Pepper / Muench Workshops and Neil Zeller Photography to host professionally led workshops – from 3 hours to 3 days in length.
Spectacular B-roll
Large natural settings are a perfect getting for b-roll of beautiful animals exhibiting natural behaviours.
Accredited Facility
The Preserve is one of just 28 of Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums. That means we always put the animal’s welfare first.
Experienced Staff
Staff experience hosting commercial flim/photography projects combined with extensive knowledge of our animals allows us to help you plan and execute a successful shoot.
