Megan Hopkins spent three summers in a row working at the Preserve as a Wildlife Interpreter and Animal Care Assistant. Megan was in school at the University of Guelph, Wildlife Biology and Conservation for the remaining months of the year. One of her classes in her final year, Wildlife Nutrition allowed her to explore in depth the biology of the Arctic Fox inspired by her time at the Preserve, working with this species and sharing with visitors all about their incredible adaptations. Plus, Megan thought they were so cute!

Wildlife Interpreter and Animal Care Assistant
Megan joined the Preserve in May 2022. She came to the Yukon for the summer from southern Ontario. She has graduated from the University of Guelph, majoring in Wildlife Biology and Conservation. She will soon be enrolled in a Masters of Wildlife Biology program as well. Megan has had a love for animals her whole life and always dreamed about working with wildlife. As a traveler at heart, she made it her mission to see this beautiful territory for herself..
